Hi folks
Any advice on where to stay in Austria or Italy?
Looking for good all round resort with large ski area, good apres and fun accomodation. I have been considering Cervinia or St. Anton, but can't find any light-hearted accomodation for snowboarders. We have been to Salbach, Flaine, Les Arcs, Kitzbuhel and Solden in the last few years. There are quite a few good companies that provide good quality accomodation with a fun atmosphere in France, but very little elsewhere.
My wife and I are travelling alone this year and love to meet people to ski and board with plus have a beverage or two afterwards. We are both reasonable ability.

Nassfeld has quite a small ski area - about 100km. We are both in our early thirties.

Erm ...bog standard TO chalet? OK there's always the risk of some tweedy SKGB type blustering on about the perfidious menace of the trayers & the risk of a) terminal bores or b) people so mouselike you wonder how they got the courage to take up an outdoor sport but most people seem to have at least basic competence in rudimentary social skills.

There are loads of ski chalets in St. Anton which will give you the option to meet people; whether it be just for meals and/or joining each other on the mountains.
