Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Heathrow transfer

Hi all.

I'm going BA GLA to HEathrow then GVA for the EOSB. The transfer time in HR is 1 hour 15 mins. Is this enough time for them to get the skis off one plane and onto the next. I dont want to have lost luggage like the last time I went BA. Or should I go on the combination that has 3 hous transfer and gets into gva at 16.40

cheers

glasgowcyclops, I can't help but as I'm on a bit of a mission can I ask why you put this in the off piste forum?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Cos it sits right below "the piste" in the forum index, and is easily confused with it if you're nt really paying attention. That's why lots of odd stuff ends up here.

With regards to transfers, I'd err on the side of caution meself.

The short transfer should be okay, if the plane from Glasgow is late then they should just shift your onward flight. Are both T5? The baggage system is pretty good now.

If the skis come on the following flight it would make more as much sense to wait for them in gva as delay your travel in lhr.

If skis are late then ba will reimburse hire costs for the one or two days before they are delivered to your hotel. There,s an online form.

Best to label luggage well, and carry some essentials in hand baggage.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

+ getting a direct flight from EDINBURGH might be preferable if you, very not looked at that already.

holidayloverxx, oooops it was supposed to be in the piste. Sorry.
elbrus55,
There is a flight from Edinburgh at 7am but I'm flying on Wednesday twice, Thursday driving then Friday up late from London (round trip and no return so can't take skis with me) So if I was going from Edinburgh I'd get 4-5 hours sleep and a hotel at Edinburgh Airport and weeks car parking. Plus a good chance of me sleeping in. Happy

BA from Glasgow allows me to get home and leave at 7am not 5am. I managed to get through to BA after three attempts and they told me 1 hour is their time. However, if I miss the flight or my skis are late then they go on the next plane. THey did say if everything was going well. The delay would be in locating the kit and attributing it to someone so good advice on the labelling.

I suppose my timings depend on the lardy bus.

Can someone put this in the piste for me please.

Cheers
