When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Overall World Cup ski champion Bode Miller will continue to receive financial support from his main sponsor, Barilla - makers of pasta - despite him expressing highly controversial views about drugs in skiiing, which can include food supplements. He recently suggested that anti-doping regulations should be relaxed.
Nike and Atomic will also continue to back the skier.
Ski Racing quotes Bode Miller's main sponsor as follows:

What's he going to say? Thank Bode for expressing a rational, well thought out argument that just happens to go against the establishment? Sadly I suspect not.
Bode's comments, as in the Denver Post, presumably not sub-edited to twist them are entirely sensible. Banning all "doping" without any deeper consideration
is
ridiculous. There is a case that whether or not they are performance enhancing (caffeine?) drugs should be selectively allowed or not based on whether or not they are detrimental to an athlete's long term health.

Is it not possibly simply a more
vocal
minority who want any and all performance modifying substances banned?
If I was a competitor and could take a drug that would give me better long term quality of life at no detriment to my current health or performance I would take it. Heck, I take 6 prescription drugs daily already and I'm fit. Not to mention the non-prescription recreational ones!!
