Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mayrhofen accomodation

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We have booked flights for the 14th March for 4 nights and are now looking for accomodation, we are a party of 3 who would prefer single rooms.
Can anyone recommend anywhere in Mayrhofen itself and if we opt for Hippach can we have some advice on how far this is from Mayrhofen, if there is any Apres etc.
Thanks

Tourist board is usually good for his - you can search yourself or send a request in; http://www.mayrhofen.at/

Enjoy!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hippach is about 5km from Mayrhofen. From there you can access the ski area via the Hoarbergbahn, which usually has less queues than the Penken. You would need to take a bus from Hippach to Hoarberg, I think it's about 1km. As for apres ski, there are a few bars around the Hoarberg gondola station. I've never stayed in Hippach so I don't know how lively it is at night. I've often cycled through and there seems to be a few bars and restaurants.

We've booked this place for our 4 nighter at the end of Feb. http://www.homeaway.co.uk/p2008346?cid=E_Inquiry-T_NL_O_20120823_2008346-text1_Text_LDES_2#map but would agree that tourist info is a good option.

A lot of the hotels seem to ignore Tourist Offcie enquiries, you could try Haus Monica which is cheap and 25 yards from the Penken Gondola. The Hotel Viktoria has some single rooms, not sure about 3 tho.

But doesn't Mayrhofen (like a lot of Austrian places) have a snazzy website where you can search real-time availability and book online?
