Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Boot fitters in 3V

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Can anyone recommend good boot fitters in the 3V especially in St Martin De B, Les Menuires, Mottaret, Courchevel 1850/1650? I would like to use a shop reasonably close to the piste (i.e. not in Meribel) so that we can go back and get adjustments made without too much of a trek. Thanks

The guys from Freeride best by far, opening a new shop this year in 1850. Otherwise you have to go over to meribel. Twisted Evil

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I had a good experience with Phil at Sports Boutique in Meribel if you want a personal recommendation.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

And Sports Boutique is right by the steps so not far from the piste actually. I heard that this year they have put an escalator there instead of the old metal steps which should help tired legs!

jtr, ditto SMALLZOOKEEPER's comments re: Freeride. They're damn good. They did my footbeds in... um... 2002 (I think) and seemed to know what they're about. I'd go back there just for the boot fitting service.....
In Meribel Freeride are only "just" off the piste - across the road and under the Hotel Tremplin complex, which is only a 1min shuss from the nearest gondola. Otherwise they've just this season opened up in Courch 1850, as mentioned, but I don't know how close to the piste it is.
