Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skating/Sliding Board: Any good?

I know this training tool has been on the market for many years but I have never seen one in the flesh, it seems to be marketed to a very specialised niche. To me this seems to give a much better indoors workout than a stationary bike or treadmill and it should cost a lot less I guess. So why are these still relatively unknown?

snowman, I went and did the course when they were introduced . . . I wasn't a skier at the time (long time ago) . . . great leg/hip workout but way too many shagged ankles to last as a fitness tool. Dead easy to make your own . . . but I didn't buy into the program, we had 3 bad sprains on the intro and all were very fit active aerobic instructors.

Bones, I was part of that scene . . . Embarassed I also taught step . . . which I think has actually meant my knees still function quite well given the abuse they've had.

Somewhere there are pics of me in a leotard . . . wink

Tomahawk Tone,

These are exactly what we used in my intervals class yesterday. We do alsorts of things. Yesterday we did twists mholding weight in opposite direction with only one glier. We also did like an in and out abs excercise to both sides. But we have done skating type excercises before:
