Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Good family resort in Europe early March

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all, I am looking to take my wife and 2 children aged 9 and 7 to Europe in March. They are all beginners so I am not to fussed about red and black runs. I have had many suggestions of Bulgaria but am not sure.
Any recommendations welcome.

Thanks.

Mick.

mickybboo, if it's early March you want to go, I'd look somewhere other than France - the first two weeks are the Paris school holidays, amongst the busiest weeks of the year. The week after (w/b 16 March) would be much quieter and could be a very good week to choose.

You can probably do better than Bulgaria. What kind of accommodation? Package or DIY?

Hi Pam,

Thanks for the reply, ideally a package would be the best as its the family.

Thanks,

Mick

mickybboo, it would probably be worth waiting for a last minute deal (ie book the week before) given that you are flexible on resort. But if you go w/b 16 March you'll have a wider choice and, hopefully, quieter slopes with no big lift queues.
A package is a good idea for a first family trip.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Hi Pam,

Yes I will look around that date and wait for a deal,

Thanks,

You'll need to Register first of course.

The Pyrenees has fantastic snow depths, are generally 30% cheaper than their alpine counterparts and more laid back and friendly. Many resorts are "family orientated" and easily accessible from either Toulouse or Tarbes/Lourdes with short transfers .
Once the main French holidays are over the slopes are relatively empty.

Very Happy Very Happy
