Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Flights are booked for a long weekend from 28th feb Thurs to Mon but we are struggling to find the right accomadation. We've been looking at Chamonix and Morzine so far - are there any other resorts we should be considering?

Bus to the lifts is ok but nothing more than a short walk to/from bars is what we're hoping for.

Needs to sleep 6 blokes in seperate beds, any board/chalets/hotels considered. Thanks.

Snow Hound, because it's peak French school hols you might struggle. But you could consider a hotel in Sallanches (there's an Ibis). If you have a car it's a very easy drive to a range of resorts, though they'll be a bit crowded. There are plenty of bars in Sallanches. wink

Thanks Pam, I see your smiley so I'm not sure whether or not you're joking but after doing some research it looks like it would be going on holiday to Croydon just a bit closer to some mountains but with quieter nightlife?

I'm guessing Morzine and Cham would be our best bets for lively apres by French standards?

yes, if you can find short-term accommodation, they would be good. My suggestion was a serious fall-back in terms of accommodation, given that your trip is in the middle of the peak French school holiday weeks. I lived in Croydon for some years and I reckon that Sallanches would be an improvement.
