I know this training tool has been on the market for many years but I have never seen one in the flesh, it seems to be marketed to a very specialised niche. To me this seems to give a much better indoors workout than a stationary bike or treadmill and it should cost a lot less I guess. So why are these still relatively unknown?
I used to use one many years ago when i used to speed skate. They are a pretty good workout. Wouldnt even know if yu can still find them for sale but i assume so.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We get a simialr effect by using gliders. Way less cupboard space
gryphea, can you give us a link to the "gliders" you're talking about.
I tried googling "ski training gliders".... and it gave me loads of tosh about unpowered aircraft!
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

snowman, I went and did the course when they were introduced . . . I wasn't a skier at the time (long time ago) . . . great leg/hip workout but way too many shagged ankles to last as a fitness tool. Dead easy to make your own . . . but I didn't buy into the program, we had 3 bad sprains on the intro and all were very fit active aerobic instructors.
Didnt these first hit the fitness scene just after the step craze ? Seem to remember our gym at the time trying to run fitness classes with them
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

Bones, I was part of that scene . . . I also taught step . . . which I think has actually meant my knees still function quite well given the abuse they've had.
Somewhere there are pics of me in a leotard . . .
