Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi All,
Holiday sorted in Courchevel 1850 for a week from Sunday 5th April. Problem is I have flights to Geneva on Saturday afternoon ...
Ideally we'd get a transfer to C1850, find a cheap hotel there for the Saturday night and be on first lifts in the morning. I'm sure most of you can guess where the problem lies with that plan!
Would love to hear if anyone can think of a reasonably priced Plan B!
We're 3 adults and one 9yo. Have considered staying in Geneva though would be nice to get the transfer out of the way.
Many thanks,
Frank

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We quite often find ourselves in this kind of situation and we tend to stay a night down in the valley (like Moutiers), drive / taxi up on the SUnday morning, dump bags at our main accommodation and go off skiing. Simple.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Could try the mercure, part of Accor group. They are quoting £160 for a 4 bed room for the night, and the hotel is right in the slopes.

@frankm, I stopped in the Telemark last week for a cheeky weekend. New people in and out all the time but not busy, probably a deal to be done. Friendly bar as well.
