Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Advice on where to stay near Courchevel 1850 - one night only (Sat 4 April)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi All,

Holiday sorted in Courchevel 1850 for a week from Sunday 5th April. Problem is I have flights to Geneva on Saturday afternoon ...

Ideally we'd get a transfer to C1850, find a cheap hotel there for the Saturday night and be on first lifts in the morning. I'm sure most of you can guess where the problem lies with that plan!

Would love to hear if anyone can think of a reasonably priced Plan B!

We're 3 adults and one 9yo. Have considered staying in Geneva though would be nice to get the transfer out of the way.

Many thanks,

Frank

Hotel Le Welcome's in Moutiers. Less than £100 for 2 rooms. 35 minutes up to 1850 on Saturday.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Buy a 3V pass or one day upgrade and stay in Brides les Bains for the night.

Somewhere like this http://www.booking.com/hotel/fr/la-petite-auberge-brides-les-bains.en-gb.html?sid=a72c20614f173c4cdcc9f1632de2f640;dcid=1;checkin=2015-04-04;checkout=2015-04-05;ucfs=1;group_adults=1;group_children=1;age=9;group_adults=2;group_children=0;req_adults=3;req_children=1;req_age=9;group_rooms=50647803_85390483_0_0_2_0_0,50647803_85390483_0_0_2_0_0;srfid=0287550b09f13fe2400ecc8186c8c6cd9bcc7a1aX5;highlight_room=50647803

Leave your luggage in the hotel, walk to the gondola, ski all day, gondola back down and take a taxi to Courchevel after skiing.

We quite often find ourselves in this kind of situation and we tend to stay a night down in the valley (like Moutiers), drive / taxi up on the SUnday morning, dump bags at our main accommodation and go off skiing. Simple.

Could try the mercure, part of Accor group. They are quoting £160 for a 4 bed room for the night, and the hotel is right in the slopes.

@frankm, I stopped in the Telemark last week for a cheeky weekend. New people in and out all the time but not busy, probably a deal to be done. Friendly bar as well.
