Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just wondered if any other snowheads would be in this direction 26th jan-2nd feb?

If so would be great to meet for a few beers or even find some ski/board buddies?

Know the resort and the apres well and always have a good time but new banter is always appreciated Cool

Yes I am there for 2 weeks arrive this Saturday. What bar will you end up in on Saturday night (on 26th)?
Also, what are the slopes like on a Sunday ? are there queues everywhere ?
I am thinking possibly not bothering skiing until Monday when I presume it will be fairly empty?

kezzy1966, At this time of year, even on a Sunday the queues aren't usually bad in the Skiwelt.

I've never started from Soll, but I have skied most of the SkiWelt in January, and can't remember ever queueing more than 5 minutes except when a lift had broken down. And queues of 2 minutes are rare.

Guys, skiing is amazing here this week. Wow.
The village is also very nice, austrians very friendly.
Spent the day sledging the 3km runs. Best fun I have had on snow in years.
