Poster: A snowHead

A missing snowboarder who was thought to be missing on the slopes at Heavenly was found safe and sound at a Lake Tahoe casino. But not before more than 75 people had searched all night for him at a cost of about $40,000.... The snowboarder had become separated from his brother on the last run home and was unaware of the search efforts to find him.

This kind of thing happen quit often. When I was working on the mountains it was standard for the Police to start a search in town (bars, accommodation etc) whenever someone was reported missing at the end of the day. It was known as the Fitzwilliam search and was usually where the person was found.

Morale of the story, always keep your mobile in your pocket or on you person at all times when out and about! Especially on the slopes (or not in this particular case).
