Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Hire - Les deux Alpes

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Following on from my post here: http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?p=2190436

I have since found out that 'Ski Extreme' (the hire place I was going to use) is at the opposite end of the village from my hotel (Chalethotel Berangere) - so looking for decent one slightly closer, if anyone has any top-tips?

PS. You're probably thinking "walk or get the bus, you lazy b*gg*r"! However, with my little one in his pram (or sling), plus skis/poles, plus boot (for setting bindings), 'tis trickier getting everything back to the hotel than you might first imagine!

abj, I have booked here to go next so would appreciate a review and feedback on the closest ski hire place when you find out. I assume you are going through Mark Warner? They are offering free kids ski hire for every adult sets of skis hired, which isn't a bad you could always call them and it on to your package?

NickyJ, yup, happy to post a review once I'm back. And yes, we're with Mark Warner.

My little one is only 15months - too little to benefit from the free kids skis. Also, Mark Warner ski hire is alway more pricey than the local rate (assuming you book in advance) and from past experience it tends to be 'you get what you get' (and I'm getting fussy in my old-age!).

Ah didn't realise how little your little one is. The base price seemed a little bit pricey which is why I didn't book it Though I thought with the free kids ski package the whole price wasn't that bad (though there definition of valid on all dates is different to mine - theirs has a silent "this season" on the end.
