Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help with accommodation at Swiss ski resort

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,
I am looking for a double room for me and my girlfriend in Swiss ski resort to stay from the end of January. I would appreciate responses of people who have been there for this time of year, especially I am interested in prices.
Hope to see your comments soonest possible.
Thanks,

This would be our first trip to Switzerland, so I don't know much about resorts of Switzerland. I have read about Verbier and checked the availability of rooms, it's hard to find free room, about all are reserved till Nov 2013.. By the way, my girlfriend needs to call home during our stay in Switzerland. What service we can use for call back home?

Anry,
Just about every Swiss rsort has a tourist office who you can contact with your requirements for room type and duraton of stay and they will put htis round to their accommodation providres who will contact you.

Your mobile phone provider should be able to provide you with a tarrif for phone calls from abroad. Usually cheaper to receive so calling someone and getting them to phone you back is usually the cheapest method.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Anry, lots of Swiss resorts, pick some and contact the tourist offices who will usually find any available accomodation for you.

I used to use phone cards to call home with using public phones not very expensive think one could buy cards specifically for overseas calls which gave a better rate, but you could also call direct from hotel room and they will add it to bill just check to see how much it would cost

Or just use a mobile set up for roaming
