Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just a quick one, I've not got my previous edition of the piste map handy and I can't tell from looking online...
Is there one, and where is it located in relation to either the Tourist Info. Centre (TIC) and/or Chaudanne Lift Area please? From memory, the escalator outside the TIC takes you up to a narrow track blue (I think) run down to Chaudanne, but is that the only free one? I'm heading out there saturday but will arrive earlier than I thought. Our parties' lift passes don't commence 'til Sunday. Ta muchly.

You can get half day lift passes for a little cheaper than full day ones – a couple of friends and I became quite familiar with them last Easter after some, erm, not-so-quiet nights out
Don’t know about free lifts, sorry.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The altiport drag lift is free. You can get there on the free bus. You can only lap green runs on it, but then can ski back to the Chaudanne at the end.

, that was just the ticket
The free bus stopped opposite the hotel I was staying at. The altiport drag lift was quite impressive at over 1km long, and, although only accesses the green run from the top of the Rhodos lift; it did mean that I could ski all the way down to my hotel at the end of the afternoon. Thanks again!
