Snowheads vigilante Dave "dave" Goldbrick looking at the Snowhead's server farm and remarking "oh my god, its full of crap".
Yeah yeah, I know, I'm responsible for some of the drivel and crap posted over the last month or so but please please please, for the love of Admin, can we get back to talking about skiing? Even a helmet debate would beat some of the utter utter nonsense currently floating around the Server pan.

If Admin had a Twitter feed then he could Tweet when an item relating to actual skiing came up

And on that note, why is it that no one uses the Snowheads Twitter feed?

andyman, I attempted to steer people towards twitter a while ago but got shouted down. Seems SH people prefer endless discussions about gloves to anything actually useful or informative.

There's a twitter feed? I didn't even know! Will go hunt now...

There is. I think there might even be one twit on there?
And some of the sH that follow have a twitfeed with a whopping 1 twit too.

There's enough crap here, why would I want to use twitter as well?

roaming data though to see twitter (or sH, or the book of farce, or...) for those on a bash. think it's possible to tweet via SMS? (although I have no clue how much a roaming SMS may cost).
still - it's easier to do a checkin type thing via an app than a browser.

Prefer twitfeed personally. At least that remains in order and shows everything. Unlike the book of farce that keeps deciding that it'll change your sort method back to "top stories", but then forget to actually put all stories that might be "top" in the list Only way to spot it's done this (again) is when your 2nd story is one you remember from 3 days ago.

andy, I can only find a Mandy xxxxx on Twitter

Claude B, simple to find
(and that Mandy with my last name annoys me, as does the BBC news guy who stole my name too, you'd think they'd have a bit of originality!)

Schuss in Boots, seems I play rugby (Spoiler the proper one, not the one where they have to give the ball away every 5 tackles ) for Wales at the weekends.

andy,
I know that a lot of people fish for followers! I get a lot of transient ones who follow me for a few days but then disappear as I haven't followed them. I'll only do so if I've any interest in what they say.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Claude B, yeah see that all teh time, especially if you follow something commercial. Then you get a handful of people following you for no apparent reason. eg. I followed that Elite:Dangerous game just to keep up with the latest news, and also the one about the related books. Cue a handful of programmers and writers following me (and presumably 50,000 other users?), most of whom unfollowed 3 days later (think one is left - does no harm - maybe he's genuinely interested in my ramblings about skiing/mtbing?)
Always getting bike stores follow me. Usually based in US.

Pedantica, but they also need stabilisers . . . brute force is no replacement for fine control (narf narf)

Pedantica, me too. changed it because of another thread (might have been the one with the vid), although it does kind of go with this one too (in a not very obvious way)
