Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone else tried to make a claim, seems they are bein somewhat slippery even on the claim form......

We used dog tag last year and to be fair i thought the cover was pretty good (on paper) as well as price. But we made a claim as my other half had to be carried off the slope after doing her knee in, the claim took almost a year to settle. We filled in the forms the week after we got back and then heard nothing for about 3 months, they then sent another form to fill in (same one) with a letter saying they had not recieved anything and needed this to complete the claim. 4 times this happend and each time they claimed they had not recieved the form. i find it hard to believe it was lost in the post 3 times. I've nothing against them they were very helpful on the phone, and when we had to call them while we were out there they were very good. Its just a shame the claims process took so long to settle. We desided not to renew with them this year

Completely the reverse of my experience of Dog Tag claims, I have made two in the last few years, both settled with no fuss, in fact one was settled and money in my bank account within 14 days.
The lost in post does seem odd, anything as important as a claim for money I always send tracked/to be signed for.

Boredsurfing, I actually think they had/have a problem with internal mail as one of the claim forms they sent her had someone elses name on the cover letter! Dont get me wrong they were great over the phone but it just got a bit frustrating that they just didnt seem to be getting the completed forms from us. Can't recall if we sent it recorded or not i would have thought so after the first one
