Any advise on which is better? We are going for 2 weeks in Jan (outside of the UK school holidays). LGS seems more expensive, but possibly smaller groups and native english speakers. This is for our 2 children (5 & 7) who have skied a week a year since they were 3, but mostly with us rather than ski school. Many thanks for any helpful comments !

JCJCJC, ps just to add that all 360 instructors speak good English and groups are not more than 8 IIRC, nothing like the ESF groups that are often huge.

Thanks. Yes, we plan to avoid ESF ! We are probably looking for group lessons for them (prob just 2 hours a day) so they have other children to interact with. Ideally other English children, although we are going outside the school holidays...! Are you there now ? I have just emails both schools.

JCJCJC, yes we are there now I suppose you could ask them if they have any other children booked ?
Both schools are good at communicating via email - 360 have an English lady called Julia if you wanted to give them a call.

JCJCJC, we have used 360 in the past for our 'American' grand-daughter, the rest of the group were solid English - it was a couple of years ago, time of the Ash cloud in fact, and there were only 4 or 5 in the group at the most. So English spoken all the time and we were very impressed with the care taken. She was nearly 6 I think then. She had had ten days with ESF when 4 and not done a huge amount but had really enjoyed it. Came on leaps and bounds with the 360 class - last Christmas when they were here she had classes with BASS - again successful - we would have booked 360 again but needed a midweek booking to fit in with travel arrangements and that could not be accommodated.
I have used LGS also and very happy to use them again.

Thanks Pamski ! Sounds good. We saw a 360 lesson last year and were impressed with the instructor's attitude and enthusiasm.

JCJCJC, I've heard good things about 360 but don't have any experience with them. However, our daughter had lessons with LGS and we've had private lessons with Tim Scott and we think they're great.

Thanks Ski Tyke - sounds good
Thanks geetee. I have just had an email from Tim at LGS; they only have private lessons available which works out a little expensive !
I've also emailed thesnowinstitute - any feedback on these guys anyone?

Have you spoken to BASS? Also very good but probably the same price as LGS. Both LGS and BASS meet at the same place - not sure about where 360 meets.

Not sure whether this is too late in the day for you, but here goes. My kids had lessons with 360 for a couple of years as they were finding their feet/skis. As they progressed and became more proficient, we switched to BASS where they have stayed for the last three years. I think 360 is a good option for beginners, but I think kids would progress better in a smaller group than the size 360 currently has. BASS has 6 children max and if you're off-peak, then you'll have less kids which is even better. Also take a look at Joe Beer at Alpine Leaning Curves. A great teacher and prices very competitively. Hope this helps.

we used 360 last year for our 4 year old and although the group was mixed with French and english kids the instructors spoke in both english and french and our son had a great time, not once did he say he didnt want to go - there were about 8 in his class but at least 2 instructors
