tomb, some of the Italians are not bad skiers, for foreigners.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

pam w, thanks and I'm sure they are all very good skiers but like all other sports its not necessarily the best players/skiers that make the best coaches/instructors and I was hoping to find someone with first hand experience Of a good local instructor. I'm also worried about some of the technical aspects getting lost in translation after some issues I had last year with a French instructor

dhonuill, Thanks, although I have no questions as such before hand, I've done quite a bit on dry slope and am happy with my progression thus far. What I'm after is a one on one evaluation of my skiing ability and then some pointers so that I can make suitable improvements.
What I will do however is post some videos of myself here next week on which I would love you critique

tomb, yeah, good idea. Provided I can work out how to activate the video I'd be happy to give you my twopence worth. PS I trust you're not using your own skis at the dry slope? Cheers
