Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

"Three turns into a gut churning descent" - what a woos!

Look at all the parallel tracks left by previous skiers who just skied flat out straight down the fall line wink

It also helps to have a photographer who can not only get their backside into the right place at the right time and get the exposure 'on the button', but can also plan their grabs for the picture editor and cover shot! Stunning, stunning work.

The slope angle, combined with the thick cover of snow, seems to confirm claims I've seen elsewhere that Alaskan snow holds on steeper slopes than other parts of the world.

I've been trying to source some information on this. If anyone knows of a source it would be interesting to read it.

Wow and double wow.

I haven't bought Powder for a while but that looks like a good issue. I may have to pick it up.

There are a few places in London that tend to get it but it's probably not that widely available.

Well done Zach Crist. I remember him as a nice lad from the DH tour, as was his brother Reggie. Both have done fantastically in skiercross since those days.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Picked this up today from Borders in Charing Cross Road. They also had Ski and Freeskier(?) from across the pond. And I got November's edition of Skiing from a newsagent near Goodge Street station. I'm getting a train up to Newcastle tomorrow so I need something to offset Snowheads withdrawal.

I can tell the season's approaching - my appetite for ski mags becomes insatiable Smile

Marvellous. That looks like a whole bundle of fun. And I've just subscribed...

Although, some friends in the US industry prefer Freeze and frankly their "Video of the Day" and "Liftie of the day" do have their attractive aspects...

I thought there was something missing from my life. It was excellent while it lasted!

Maybe it's been cryogenically preserved and will be defrosted for further fun in the future.

Mike Pow, there were between £2.75 and £3.25 I think. They used to be more but I guess the favourable exchange rate has finally kicked in.
