Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

'Tailor made' ski holiday firms - recommendations?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi All,

Unfortunately I have managed to bag myself a new job starting very soon and will not have enough holiday for a full week this season. So I'll need to go for a long weekend say Thurs to Monday or Friday to Tuesday, flying out at the crack of dawn on the first day and getting back late on the last day/resort close to airport etc to maximise ski time.

So I'm after some firms that can organise holidays like this that don't have the usual 7 day break with Saturday changeovers. (I know I could book directly myself but am going to be very busy the next few months and given my abysmal bargain hunting skills a specialist firm might actually be able to do it cheaper Embarassed ). I'm not looking for anything too flash - 'tailor made' might suggest I'm trying to burn money but that's not the case here, it's the flexibility on travel & accommodation arrangements that is crucial.

The only firm I've used for this sort of thing in the past is Whiteroc who have been pretty good, but I want to know if there are any other options out there that fellow SH's would recommend.

Ta in advance Smile

That Tignes option looks like quite good vfm for EK, thanks. Chalet is a bit out of the way in Les Boisses, but that's not a deal breaker.

Scarver, how about http://www.skiweekends.com/? They used to use only busses from Victoria station, or Dover, leave on Thur pm, arr Fri am, ski all day Fri, Sat and Sun, travel back through Sun night to arr back London at 8am Mon morning. A bit of trek but a great way to grab 3 days skiing for only 1 day's leave.

But now they also do flights, mid-week and weeks. And they've got a sale on!

I've been with these as a solo: http://www.skiweekender.com/ really good set up. I recommended them to a colleague who will be going just after Christmas for his fifth time with them. I stayed at the Aravis Lodge.

Try http://www.skifix.co.uk/. I've not used them but I was impressed with their approach when I met them.

Scarver, Loads of places

Ski Hame - do short stays (& airport transfers) in their chalet in La Tania

I've just stayed with them for my second trip and am looking to do a 3rd later this year

this is in a great location in Les Arcs - http://www.hucksterslodge.com/ski-weekends.asp next to a bar and a lift, probably a slightly 'younger vibe' than some of the other places

a lot of the 'larger operators' do them too including inghmams, erna low, powder byrne etc. - googling ski weekends gives you loads of options

Thanks All - some good options here, including places I've never been to before.

Keep 'em coming snowHead
