Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

... Shovel and probe. And spending ages deciding if a slope is safe to ski?
(never mind all the avalanche safety courses, airbags, avalungs etc.)

I think I may have figured out the answer:

1) Ensure you don't value your life
2) Take no one off piste with you, thereby thereby negating the need for a bleep, shovel and probe
3)At the top of a pitch, simply ask yourself two questions
. a) does this route look like it will be fun?
. b) is there anyone below me in the path of a possible avalanche?
If the answers are yes and no respectively, then get on with the skiing!

Marvelous plan snowHead . Just three things to add:

- Make sure noone knows where you went and you're not to be reported missing

- Be at least 80 years old and not in good health

- Ensure you have made your peace with your nearest and dearest

tomow92, if you are in a group then nominate one person to be the expert and follow his advice blindly. If he deides not to do the slope then nominate someone else.

Also make sure to pressure the guy who doesn't want to ski the slope into doing it first. Calling them names helps.
