Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Recommendations for ski instruction in Les Deux Alpes

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm off to Les Deux Alpes in mid January and want to organise some sort of tuition before I go. I've got two weeks skiing experience and have had a few days of tuition. I'm not a complete beginner but by no means confident. I don't want to be committed to 6 days of lessons as I'm going skiing with friends who have skiied several times before and hope to ski with them on some days. Could anyone recommend a particular ski school that would do single day lessons or half days skiing for perhaps three days. I'm even considering a couple of private lessons if these would be more beneficial.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Yes, I agree - a few sessions with Charlotte would be just right. Private lessons are the only answer, really, if you want just a few sessions. I wouldn't recommend an all day lesson though (and I'm sure Charlotte wouldn't suggest one). A couple of shorter sessions would be much better. But don't leave it any later to book or you might be too late.

I had a great two hour lesson with easiski ealier this year. She focused straight in and fixed a problem that had been holding me back. Big thumbs up.

anna_f, Charlotte tells it as it is apparently. But she has an excellent reputation. And does a nice ski blog.

Unfortunately Charoltte is fully booked the week I will be there. Are there any further recommendations other than I should have booked earlier?

anna_f, There is one other English instructor there that I know of, not used him though, Rod Frazer http://www.chaletgroup.com/chalettext.php?id_selected=1381

European Ski School are also pretty good, mostly Italian instructors. Used them once for a park lesson for my daughter (not Charlotte's strength Happy ) I think Rod may work for them too http://www.europeanskischool.co.uk/
