Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi, I am taking my nearly nine year old daughter to val claret over new could I have some recommendation of ski schools please.
My eldest two children one of which is coming with me always moaned about ESF saying all they ever did was follow the leader!
Also any one point me to what group she should go in, she has had 4 private lessons on the dry slope in Ipswich, wake boards and seems to have picked it up very quickly.

Many thanks

There is a dedicated kids ski school called les Marmottons (up to 10 years) which operate out of Lac but they also operate through Ski One in Val Claret. Friends have used them here in Lac and were very impressed.
Websites:
www.lesmarmottons.com (in English as well with lots of advice)

+1 for Evo 2. They are located in both Val Claret and Le Lac. They have a well structured program for children and all the instructors have very good English. Smaller groups than ESF too. As to which group to join, don't sweat the decision too much. The instructors will assess her ability and move her up or down a group as appropriate - if that is required. Marmottons are very good but at nearly nine she might feel she is a bit elderly for that.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Granted, it was nine years ago. But my kids had a horrible, horrible time with Evolution 2 in Tignes. It was, without question, the worst week that they ever had in ski school. Having said that, they did all of the rest of their learning in North America so the comparison might not be entirely fair.
