spud, It was very early in the course. It looked like he misjudged the line and hit a bump/rut which threw him out and he missed a gate. Don't think he was bemused but just very angry with himself probably!
Trying to get some feedback off him, but he is now on way back to Beaver Creek for Downhill training runs tomorrow.
I'll try to post what exactly happened.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Plugboy, Thanks for that mate... the camera angles made it look most odd and without the commentary I couldn't work it out.
Hope he has better luck at Beaver Creek.

spud, A brief text from TJ "I got boosted out by a bump I couldn't see after 6 gates!"
He DNF'd Lake Louise SG last year then went on to get some good results, so hopefully he will have better luck at BC

Plugboy,
How does it work out with him and Dougie then. They both do training runs and the fastest time does the downhill? Then how do they decide who gets the SG spot?

gryphea, Yes fastest in training runs get the DH start. The SG start is who is skiing best at the time. TJ has been beating Dougie in the most current SG races so he is getting the start tomorrow.
stewart woodward, Jack is a great little skier with a fantastic set up. 2 x coaches, 1 x physio, 1 x sports Phsychologist.
He will be chasing TJ & Dougie hard very soon.

Good to see TJ get a safe run down.

Did well on that vertical ice rink, which is mostly a black mogul field once the nets come down.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Plugboy,
Thanks for that info. So TJ came top 50, does that mean GB get two starts in next SG?

spud, He was pretty pleased with the DH, attacked it hard with only a couple of mistakes.
Different story in the SG, good top 15secs, then huge mistake going onto the flatter part which lost a lot of speed & time! 25th fastest on last split though which is good.
gryphea, Unfortunately no. GB has to have someone ranked inside the top 100 on the FIS points list to get the extra start. TJ 155 in SG & 142 in DH, but hoping to get some good results in the upcoming Nor-Am series to break into the top 100.

Great pivoting on the second run and awesome recovery at the end of the course on his third run...impressive.
