Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

This season's ski/snowboard magazines - any issues/articles you'd recommend?

I started a thread about the ski mags a while back to see which ones people preferred.
Fall-line Skiing seemed to be the consensus. I've not been able to find Fall-line yet this season, even in some of London's biggest WHSmiths. Maybe they've gone subscription only?
The first issue of the Daily Mail mag got a bit of a slating but I saw a copy of the current one (or the second one at least) and was pretty impressed. A lot more substantial.
Bought Snow magazine yesterday which was a good read as always.

After a couple of seasons resisting snow mags, I walked into WHSmith and thought I'd take a look to see what was out. After picking up WhiteLines and seeing how thick it was I couldn't resist no more. Wasn't disappointed either, an article on splitboarding in Scotland is just one of many. A week later and I've still stuff to read when I've got 10mins to waste st work!

Neil Neige, I think they still are in some WHSmith's, I know you can usually "order" it from one of their stores and they'll try to get it in for you. Alternatively, if you email them I'm sure they can let you know where you can find it.

I always get Fall Line from Wh Smiths in Liverpool Street Station if you're around the City?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have to look a bit harder for Fall Line but must've checked 5 or 6 WHSmiths.
Maybe it's available in Snow and Rock.

IMHO the UK board magazines are better than the UK skiing mags overall, the latter excepting Fall Line are often little more than travel brochures with a few extra articles thrown in as a sop to those who have skied a few times and might want a little more. Overall they are firmly aimed at the casual holiday skier, in contrast the board mags often reflect more of the snowsports lifestyle and I say that as primarily a skier.

Having said that my subscription to Fall Line recently ran out and I haven't bothered to renew it because they don't offer a digital version and I'm mostly digital with my mags these days. I subscribe digitally to US magazine Powder which IMHO is heads and shoulders above any other ski magazine in English but I do miss more UK focussed content so will buy Fall Line on an occasional basis in 'analog' and would consider a subscription if they manage to enter the 21st Century sometime and start offering a digital option.
