When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Two garages stolen from nordic ski club - a strange report

Thieves have stolen two garages from the Georgian Nordic Ski Club in Ontario, Canada. Each garage measured 20ft by 12ft.

"They took everything" said Ray Lamore, responsible for the Club's maintenance, which primarily involves maintaining 35km of nordic ski trails. An all-terrain vehicle was another stolen item.

This report from Parry Sound North Star. Oddly, the theft is reported as having taken place "sometime between August 16 to 18." Which raises an obvious question (or two) ... but we won't go there.

Sadly the club's garages weren't insured, as they are classed as 'temporary buildings.'
