Seen these on-line:

and would like to know what you guys think. What few reviews I have managed to unearth have generally been favourable with some criticism of the finish ie a tendency to scratch easily. Being the type of guy who can break a ball-bearing, a few scratches would be neither here nor there. I'm more concerned as to whether they are an appropriate ski for me.
I suppose I'm an high intermediate skier, happy on practically any piste and willing to go out of my comfort zone on moguls and off-piste. In the last five years I have skied St. Anton, Serre Chevalier, Monterosa, Selva/Arabba and Folgarida/Marilleva/MdC with confidence. On the itineraries off Kappl, La Balma and the mogulled black piste down into Le Monetier (Tabuc?), I was all too aware of my limitations but still willing to give it my best shot. I mention this to try and give a clearer picture of my ability. I'm 1.79m, 86kg, signed up for the PSB at Tignes and keen to venture off-piste and escape the dreaded 'Brit intermediate plateau. My current skis are Fischer AMC76 170cm which I really like. I suppose I am asking if I would notice a big difference with the wider Elans or should I concentrate on my technique and escape from the plateau on my AMCs. Any alternative recommendations also appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation etc....

Gaz C, you might find that you get more help with this in the equipment section, and also put the item in the title to grab the attention of someone who can help

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

That's quite a price still for a model that's a few years old, especially compared to what sportpursuit has been knocking out last year's skis (K2 & Dynastar) for recently. Demo some skis at the PSB would be my advice and see what you like generally.

Thanks for the techy advice re editing.
fatbob, I think the last time I looked the price was with bindings included. Now they want another £60 for them they don't seem such a bargain. I'm gonna take your advice and try some demo skis in Tignes. Not too clued up with off-piste skis, so willing to listen to recommendations.[/b]
