Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Freestyle instruction

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
hi

I have fancied doing some freestyle jumps etc on my next ski holiday and to show off whilst there wanted to learn a little before jetting off. I was talking to a guy at the ski show in brum last week and he showed me a video of him learning on a trampoline and jumping into a foam filled pit. This was at copper mountain though.

My question is Does anyone know of anywhere in the uk that does this type of training?

Ta in advance

I don't know of anywhere specific that does this type of training, but it might be worth your while to speak to local trampolining clubs and see if they would let you use a short pair of skis with the edges taped up or the edges removed if they're really old and dead. Some clubs allow this on their old trampolines so you don't destroy their decent ones.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

CarlIP, I know of a ramp for jumps that has a water landing for practice (not popular after August) come to think of it the area has just been sold for housing.

CarlIP, welcome to Snowheads. I think some of the indoor slopes have "Air bag" nights from time to time.

Hemel Hempstead ski-dome has a Freestyle evening with (quite big) jumps and rails on Fridays. They have tuition.
They may sometimes have an airbag, I think, as did Milton Keynes when I visited a few years ago.
Where are you based? Contact the slope nearest to you.
