Hi guys ,
Has anyone got any advice on weather reports for borovets please ?
We have arranged a christmas ski trip for the works xmas outing , have jumped in and booked for 10th December 2012 ......... for 5 days ......does anyone have experience of skiing borovets at this time in the season ?
any help would be brill , thanks !!

Ischgl is an excellent choice for mid Dec as it's high, in a snowy part of the Alps and has excellent snow making. A cracking resort - and a cracking swap

Is there really any comparison between these two resorts at any time of year. Have visited both (mid January), and while I would be more than happy to return to Ischgl, I will not be rushing back to Borovets any time soon.

Good call, the kids spent a very nervous Christmas a couple of years ago looking at the grassy slopes on the Borovets webcams in anticipation of our half term trip, it eventually turned white sometime mid Jan.

Plus Ischgl will have fewer beggars, few prostitutes and better food ... wise move

and miles better piste, snow, lifts, accommodation, atmosphere, scenery, beer, apres ski, nightlife, women, architecture and pretty much everything else that adds up to a ski holiday. Borovets v Ischgl, blimey.

friend in Samokov (pretty close to borovets) reckons it'll be rubbish then, and if lift opening date for last year is replicated this year, then 15th will be the season opening day (which would have been an added disappointment)

thanks for all the replies , to be honest it was my business partner who booked the xmas break in borovets , obviously with one eye on budget ! , but i felt the need to rally the snow heads opinion to prove to him it was a bad choice !
We still have no experience with ischgl but it looks as though we cannot go wrong
