Superb!
How do you get there then, is there a lift running up from Siviez or somewhere or can you drive to it?

lift running from le Chable, if you live are staying in Verbier you could get on the lift there also.
No Siviez connection until next month at the earliest.

Lovely piste conditions in lac des Vaux and all the way down to the Attelas chair. Chalet Carlsberg open for a refreshing pit stop. Not too many people around, lifts now open until end of April.

thunderer, my guess is that it will be the same, funispace and Attelas chair. There's plenty of snow due this week, but there just won't be enough people to justify opening more lifts. The next one to open will probably be the La Chaux express. That may open Saturday as that is the official opening weekend.

Was in Verbier yesterday...bizarre seeing everyone walking around the town in ski boots etc, in November! Today the Piste de L'Ours in Veysonnaz was open, not bad conditions at all, mostly locals making the most of it. There is a big 'drop' due later this week.

Can anyone in Verbier give an update on whether the forecasted snow is falling? Also any links to decent webcams? Heading out to Verbier for the first time in 3 weeks! Any recommendations appreciated, thanks.

laura1182, It was when I left today at about 4 ish and the temperature is due to plummet in the next few days. Why don't you check out the Chalet Carlsberg webcam or the ones on Verbinet. If you are going out in 3 weeks time, all going well, you should be fine.

Looks like the lift system will be shut today. 80cm of fresh reported at the Col des Gentianes. More due later in the week - I am really looking forward to this weekend!

Snowed all night and still snowing. Lifts only open to Ruinettes. Televerbier saying that if the weather improves and they can bomb they may open the funispace later. More snow due tonight. I'd be happy if they waited until Saturday morning to open the funispace.
This is on a par with the snowmaggedon experience of last December.

Visibility came and went yesterday, but some lovely turns in La Chaux and playground were there to be had. Nothing open above Ruinettes and about 70cm of fresh.
Today has dawned bright and clear and they're opening the funispace. It's going to be epic!
