Poster: A snowHead
|
Hello,
Looks like it's going to be the Dolomites, Val Gardena this year most probably. For a few years now I am looking into freestyle skiing more and more. I can ski switch, do a basic 180, but that's about it. This I have learned by trial and error (I'm not afraid to fall:)) But I'd love to have a professional train me a bit. Therefore I was wondering if there are any ski schools there offering courses of freestyle skiing? I know there are such courses in France, I've seen schools advertising them but never tried it. So I would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

victoriac, Yep, and ask for either Michele Andrich or Simon Demez. My lad has trained with both, they're top guys.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

What sort of freestyle do you want to do - moguls, jumps in park/pipe, ski cross etc? You can get training at virtually any dry slope or snowdome in Britain and be ready for your holiday. Best to train jumps on a trampoline first as it hurts less and causes less bruises than falling on snow.

gman_lt, Forgot to mention - there's an airbag in the Belvedere park (above Canazei) brilliant for practising your backflips with a nice soft landing! Anyone can use it as long as you're wearing a helmet.
