Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Erna Low 80

The Erna Low travel company is celebrating the 80th anniversary of its foundation in 1932. On youTube you can find various clips, including
this one which concentrates on skiing.

My early ski trips to Austria (organised by the Edinburgh Scouts) were with Erna Low, the first in 1964 to Jochberg, so it is all a bit nostalgic for me Very Happy

espri, thank you - that is just wonderful! My first, and the one and only, school trip was with Erna Low to Solden in 1965, we flew from London, West London air terminal on the Earls Court Road. Takes me bac.

espri, espri, Thanks for this. Went on a school trip with Erna Low in the 70's, brought it all back, lovely wooden 'leg whacking' chairlifts etc. Is it me or does it look warmer than nowadays? Check out the guy's gogs at the end....classic. Very Happy Very Happy

I think my first trip with the school was sometime in the mid 60s when we went with Erna low to the Berner Oberland by train from Cambridge. I used to work with a protégé of Erna Low's, Marianne Bôle who was a founding partner of Schoolplan with John Bowden (later became Skibound). I think nearly all the school ski trip specialists of the 70s and 80s cut their teeth under her tutelage one way or another!
