Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Easyjet pricing quirk

Just booked a return flight Geneva to Gatwick for the first week in December. As it originated in CH the price appeared in CHF and I converted to £ through the currency selector £65.98 - not bad I thought.

I then tried it originating in the UK to get the pricing in £ from the outset. This was a bit of a faff as I had to use a fictional outbound from the UK to get the return I needed, then add an extra flight out to GVA later than the "return" then delete the fictional outbound flight. Result £63.13 saving 4.3%

High excitement for a Yorkshireman - I've saved the price of a cup of coffee! Very Happy

That said if you are booking a family in high season it will save a fair bit. I noticed this once before and usually try it. Not sure why it happens and sometimes works the other way. Maybe due to the website not keeping up with exchange rate movements or the use of round numbers in both CHF and £.

This is actually very close and as you say probably a quirk of the exchange rate used. If you price up many airline journeys you will find, for example, that the price of a return flight from Australia to the UK is more than from the UK to Australia. Afterall the price is what the airline things the customer would pay, not the cost of providing the service.

Enjoy the coffee

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I was about to make a fool of myself saying it was up-hill coming back (on my map)Embarassed and into the wind but that does make any difference for a return trip Embarassed
