Out of interest really...
Can you remold the custom shell again? I need to test out my boots over a prolonged period of time and was wondering if I needed a bit more room they can go back in the oven.
Looking at some custom foot beds too I think. Any advice on this and how much they cost?

parkesy, what shell are you referring to?? The boot hard plastic outside can have plenty of work done on it, stretching, shaving etc. The liners can be remoulded depending on what type/make they are....

parkesy, what custom shells do you have? Most of my (regular) ski boots have had at least a couple of tweaks to get them right, and have been warmed up (by heatgun mostly, sometimes by water bath) so they can be stretched.

The bottom part of the boot is mouldable up to 104 last. The boot fitter did an excellent job, I just need to make sure on the slope for a prolonged period. Feels ever so slightly, minuscule even, tightish at 103mm but I was thinking it would stretch out/take time for me bed in properly.

parkesy, quest max is one of salmon's generation 3 custom shells, can be reheated as many times as you like
they need a few days skiing to bed the liners in, but if you have not got a footbed in there i would be doing that first, having them moulded and then skiing a few sessions to see how they are, a good footbed can prevent excessive spread of the foot and reduce the need for any stretching, a badly made one on the other hand can cause you to need the shell stretched by several mm more than your foot width
Cynic, atomic do not recommend heating the shell of the hawx boots, especially the non PU versions (80 flex or below)
