spud, Thanks so much for posting this, what an inspiration! My old dad was still skiing at a ripe old age but had to pack it in at 71 when his knees gave out. I did know a wonderful Scottish doctor who moved to the States in his 20's and was still skiing till the day he died aged 83, 2 years ago.

Whitewater never gets old - awesome. & near neighbour Red has just announced an inbounds terrain expansion to make it the biggest resort no one has heard of (potentially bigger inbounds terrain than Jackson Hole & definitely radder trees).

Hmmm, only about 10 years to go. 
Horizon says we older members in the group are an inspiration because it means he has ages to go on skiing at the top recreational level. I know he means it as a compliment but it makes me feel old.

fatbob, Agree with you about Red compared to Jackson, didnt know they were having a big expansion.
Do you know which area they are moving into ? Will it effect the cat skiing at all ?

spud, I got that vibe too re not universal praise in the industry - I suspect mainly due to her husband parlaying her fame into real estate deals and despite being a Rossland girl and big Whistler connections IIRC jumping ship to Sun Peaks for the commercial opportunity.

fatbob, Yeah... I guessed it was more to do with politics.
She's done wonders at Sun Peaks though. Fantastic resort that hardly anyone knows about...especially the uk.
I spent all of last season their. Awesome place and awesome skiing. 3rd largest in Canada too.
Love the fact the Austrians have invested money in the resort and built their own practice race piste and chairlift. The WC team go their to practice for a month in November, early December.
If you're a racer it's a great resort...but in saying that the off piste, glade runs and park are awesome too...
Can't wait to go back.

I wouldnt want to go far tho, and since the new lift has gone in there they wont need to either. Must get back there one day.
