Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all,
And thanks for all the help and advice I have already gotton on this site....
I Have booked a ski holiday to (flying to Turin) over New Year (29th Dec for 1 week - 5 people). Really want to go to Sauze D'Oulx but struggling to find self catering accomodation, it just doesnt seem to be advertised to the same level as the French resorts? Anyone know where I can look - web links??
Will change resort if necessary, but Sauze seems to have a good balance of Apres Ski and access to lots of good skiing.

Have you tried owners direct? Can often find nice apartments in the less TO-centric resorts there.

We found ours on homelidays for last season, 1400e for two weeks.
Don't know if its available though, I've tried looking for it as a comparison to this years rates and cant seem to see it anywhere.

Holiday lettings have a few listings for Sauze.
A good starting place is the local tourist office -

They are usually keen to attract first time visitors and should help you find something.

Very friendly clean spacious and good value.
It is situated on the main road in Oulx and is owned by the same people who own this shop

You get good deals on ski hire and can leave your gear in the shop which is located at the bottom of one of the lifts.
On paper it doesn't sound that appealing as it is down the mountain. However you get the advantage of cost and cheap meals out and a more 'real' environment. It is also near to a large supermarket.
We hire a car and it takes about 10 mins to drive to the slopes. This is very easy!
We have been there 3 years in a row and booked again for this year.
