Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi everyone

I tried out some Salomon x wing skis the other day and really enjoyed skiing on them. Im looking to purchase a similar ski to this and wondered if anyone could give me an idea of a similar ski as the ones i tried just seem to be for rental and not buying which is a shame, I've found one pair online but not in my size.

Any ideas on a ski that could be close to this one would be brilliant

thanks in advance

Must admit I follow Salomon product pretty closely but I've never heard of these so you're probably right that they're a rental only model. You don't say if you're male or female or what length you're looking for but looking at the sidecut I suspect the nearest retail product is the Enduro L750 or LX750 (for men). LX750 is slightly more advanced and probably a better bet for longer term development if you're an aspiring intermediate (I'm guessing because you don't say). If you're better than that move up to the RXT750 which S&R sell.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Focus is a rental model, LX730 or salomon Lagoon would more than likely be the closest you you will get your hands on http://www.snowtraxstore.co.uk/salomon-origins-lagoon-skis-l9-bindings-2012 orhttp://www.snowtraxstore.co.uk/salomon-enduro-lx-730-skis-l10-binding-2012
