Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Snow boots reccommendation please

Hi guys,

Just been looking on surfdome and there seems to be some good boots/deals, I like these http://www.surfdome.com/dc_boots_-_dc_chalet_2.0_se_boots_-_white/pink-51122 but as this is my first time buying snow boots, I have no idea if they are actually any good!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty! If your spending loads of time in snow then why not, not too badly priced, however if your fashion concious and likely to only wear for a week once a year I'd be more tempted to buy the stretchy rubber spikes that go on to ANY shoe/walking boot (mine were £7 and even fit on my ski boots for walking hotel to lift/bus). I had a similar pair of boots to the ones your looking at and found them crazy hot when I got inside bars etc, so either ended up with sweaty horrible feet or wet feet if I took them off inside bars etc because everyone was walking around shedding snow on the floor. Very Happy

Cool, thanks, might look into getting spikes too. I've got 7 interviews to go work a ski season so pretty confident I will get offered a job, so looking for something that will last the whole season.
