Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Alp-line and shuttles direct

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

It appears that shuttles direct have bought the rights to use the old Alp-line site. Just to let you all know that if you book these transfers you will be using shuttles direct and not Alp-line. Some of the old wording is now incorrect as it refers to the old services provided by Alp-line.

Alp-Line went out of business I think so I guess Shuttles Direct have taken over their routes

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Shuttles Direct are just an agency brand owned by a Spanish company: http://www.viajesalameda.com/index.php?idioma=En. They do not own or operate any vehicles and have no licence to do so.

There appears to be no UK or French office base and the 0870 number diverts to Spain.

So actually, if you book with them, you have no idea who will actually turn up (or not) to provide your airport/resort transport.

Nice bit of 'buck passing' in their T&C's: 'O.COMPLAINTS
◦Because your contract for your arrangements is between you and the Supplier, any queries or concerns relating to your service should be addressed to them'.

(... hang on a minute.. a customers contract is with you as the agent. It is up to you the agent to ensure your contractor/supplier delivers)

Love the way they say you can only contact them by email too Shocked

It seems that only you and I are concerned with this. To everyone do not book a transfer on the Alp-line site expecting an Alp-line vehicle to collect you. I do not know who has the shuttles direct contracts yes different supplier for Tarentaise than the PDS.

You have been warned.

Since they are based in Spain, I guess they need to comply with spanish and EU regs on accountability and contact details.

I know UK companies are obliged to put real-world contact details on their website as well as co number where relevant, and as you say, the contract is with them irrespective of who they are subcontracting out to. But I guess it might be different in Spain
