Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

i was thinking more about if anyone knew of skis that were really similar as i've always got on well with the x-wings
i am a holiday skier..3 weeks a season mostly piste but enjoy a fresh dump and playing between the pistes. probably notched up about 45 weeks in total but now nearly 50yrs old and cruise a bit more!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Could do worse than Dynastar Sultan 85s/whatever this season's version is called. Really versatile skis, with good performance and a nice punchy flex.

The Fischer Watea 84s are a good compromise if doing piste / between piste. Narrow enough to be a good piste ski but still pretty good off-piste. Not a new design but effective. I am 53 and small-ish. There are quite light so I keep my speed up if off-p is heavy. If off-p is cruddy they are probably not ideal for me as neither ski nor I have the weight - but if cruddy who wants it!
They coped with everything last season had to offer and were the only skis I used in 8 weeks. Interesting to see if they lose their vitality by the end of season if I do similar this year.
