Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best Women's Snowboard Boot For a Season???

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
OK girls, if you had to wear one pair of boots week in week out for a season, which pair would you choose?

Our eldest is off next Dec and needs new boots. We're looking for comfort, performance and durability?

She is an advanced rider taking an 8 week instructors course.

Thanks Madeye-Smiley

I've had Ride Contours this season. Double Boa system, very comfortable.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Mollerski, the only sensible way to find some boots is to go get your kid to try loads on and find the make and model that fit her best! Unless she has identical shaped feet to me then my recommendation will mean diddly squat. Salomon boots have always fitted me the best, and have held up well .

Get some that fit and bear in mind that if she's riding hard everyday she might well wear them out before the end of the season. For this reason worth considering buying in a resort shop or at least buying a well stocked brand so they can deal with the warranty issues. If she's a bog standard season worker she probably won't wear them out.

kat.ryb,

Of course, but I thought it 'only sensible' to narrow the field somewhat, prior to fittings. Rather than, trying on every women's snowboard boot currently available in the UK. wink

Thanks all the same. Madeye-Smiley

Mollerski, Actually, I would suggest trying on every woman's snowboard boot in a large store like TSA. There aren't THAT many models and she really should try on as many as possible. However I'm sure she has bought snowboard boots before as she is an advanced rider so she can't be a complete numpty or newbie to the process wink

What might be useful to know is if anyone has any horror stories about boots falling apart after 1 week or something like that?

fatbob, makes a good point

Get her to go try 'em on. I'm a female snowboarder but have men's snowbaord boots (on my second pair now) as none of the ladies ones fitted (feet too wide/big). Nitro do some nice ones.
