Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The SCGB's Ski+Board magazine discovers new journalistic talent!

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
The October edition of the Club's glossy magazine Ski+Board has just thumped on my doormat ... and at least three names familiar to snowHeads and SCGB forum users are featured as contributors.

Nikolai Zotov (Nick to us) has a spread on ski touring the Furka Pass in Switzerland. PG (Peter Garwood) has a news report on the worrying state of the Tignes glacier. And ...
... the legendary Kevin McClean makes an appearance in the letters column, arguing the case for a "don't drink and ski" policy on the mountains.

One other snowHead appears in the letters column, but as he's a pseudonymed snowHead you'll have to guess who it is!

It's improbable that any of this journalism would have got into print without the editor (Arnie Wilson) avidly scouring the electronic slopes for new writing talent. Congratulations, therefore, to all concerned!

I would agree with him - at the minute you'll trash your skis. Wait until there has been more snowfall before considering it.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

OK, thanks for that. Should I also wait for some Tarmac on the road before I go drink-driving?

David Goldsmith, depends, if you've got an off-road vehicle (or borrow your wife's, when she's not doing the school run... ) then it's OK. Laughing

And a news article on Snow Leopard! Great to see some familiar names in the magazine - why doesn't Jonpim post here any more? Has he kicked his addiction? snowHead
