Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Flights to Tignes/Val d'Isere area?

 Poster: A snowHead

I'm currently out in Val d'Isere for a week's skiing, but left booking my flights very late. I got quite a good deal into Chambery (approx. £70), but they only fly on Sundays. I'm flying back on a Tuesday and really struggled to find coaches to airports/flights that go at all in the week - I've ended up going Geneva to London, but the coach to the airport is quite long and expensive, and the flight itself wasn't that cheap either.

I'm just wondering whether anyone else who has been to the Tignes/Val d'Isere area can recommend a good, reasonably priced way of getting out here? Or have I found the best routes already? Thanks! Very Happy

yep IMO you have about the best option... you could also try Bens Bus.

It's an issue.

Ben's Bus is the cheapest option from Geneva.

Chambery + bus (weekends only) is probably the quickest.

Or indeed, when you add everything up, getting the train from London to Bourg can be the quickest and cheapest way to do it. Not just the Snow Train - there are direct, high-speed services from Paris to Bourg every day.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Ask at the Tourist Office or the SNCF office they will know all the ways....You can get a coach to Geneva from Bourg St Maurice (Autocars Martin) Or hire a car? Hitch?
