Poster: A snowHead

Does anyone have any recommendations for any other TV or internet sources that can provide accurate weather forecasts while in resort i.e todays \ tomorrows weather? The resort reports on SH's do help and, I have in the past posted updates myself but I'm after a simple "its going to be sunny/snowy/windy today or tomorrow, next day " type of report like you get on the Met office site but skiing orientated.
The long term forecasts ( 2/3 weeks ahead) don't interest me, as i'm in resort when it's actually important. The 'techie' graphs in other threads mean nothing to me either.
I've previously seen the snow-forecast site but have found that is so general and rarely accurate. For example, for Flachau in Feb this year, they suggested we would have 5 cm snow and 20 kph winds but we actually got well over 20cm and most lifts were closed due to high winds of over 50 kph. We didn't find out until we got to the lift station that we needed a plan B!
It all means we can plan our skiing activities better.
As a start the specific resorts\areas I'm interested in so far are:-
Val Thorens\3 Valleys
Flachau \Ski Amade

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I find Bergfex reasonably accurate for short term forecasts.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

So snow-forecast said it was going to be snowy and windy, which is the type of forecast you said you wanted. It was just snowy and windier than they said.
It's the mountains with localised weather patterns. You probably need to listen to local radio or similar.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

cathy, Their report (snow-forecast.com) was so far out it was laughable. I'm after a local or regional site to access that will hopefully be a little more accurate.
As I dont speak French or German to the level required to understand radio weather forcasts it's probably not really a realistic option.
Some resorts even produce a daily weather report that details this info for that day and several days to come. This sort of info was decidely lacking in our recent trips over the last few years and I thought it would be usefull to ask.
queen bodecia, Thanks for your suggestion.
Hells Bells, Thanks, I think both the resorts\areas I've mentioned have apps. I'll see if I've been looking at that area, i think VT may have one.

I've always found the weather forecasts on resorts own websites reliable. If they aren't in English then use a translation facility. Good old TV still a good bet.
If you are skiing close to town, tourist offices and good ski shops usually post the forecast for the next few days.

boredsurfin, Many thanks. Thats the sort of site link I was after.
It all helps to plan the day, particulalry when the lift pass can take us over many different mountains in the 3V's.
We're out in VT in 3 weeks time and hope to be able to visit the other valleys this time.
