Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi

Looking for honeymoon accommodation from 17th March (last minute!), wedding all arranged in Filzmoos and now looking for the 2nd week.

Would love to stay in some accommodation actually up the mountain, so only accessible by ski lift/ ski in.

Cant find anything by searching on the internet!

Thanks

x

Well this place is great, but you'd have to hope for a last minute cancellation. They run a ballot early season.

Schladming and Rohrmoos have some on the mountain places.

Try the Seidl-Alm at the top of Schonleiten in Saalbach (it is on the route to Leogang so you get two resorts to play in, both on the same lift card)

really small ski area but part of the Ski Amadé network. Busses at the bottom of the slope can take you to Radstadt direction or Reiteralm/schladming direction.
really great place though http://www.trinkeralm.at/

I was going to suggest those as well, but SaraJ beat me to it! Smile

The WedelHuette in particular I think would be excellent if you can get a booking. Madeye-Smiley

SkierAl, put Berggastof/hotel in to your search parameters. There are plenty around in Ski Amade, some better than others. There is one at the top of the Planai in Schladming for example, used to be a bit hostel-like but I believe it has been upgraded. Loads in and around Flachau - Waldgasthof is nice and right on the pistes. The Winterbauer on the ridge between Flachau/Reitdorf and Altenmarkt is amazing as well, although not ski in ski out.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

You could try the Lärchfilzhochalm in Fieberbrunn (web site is only in German; let me know if you want anything translated). Right on the piste and up the hill. €45 per person per night, half board. Looking at the web site most of the rooms seem to be for more than two but at this time of the season it may well be possible to get a room to yourselves (haven't seen or used the accommodation myself although I have often eaten or drunk there).

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

I used to live in Munich and Zillertal was one of our favourite play areas for day skiing. They built this hotel up the mountain whilst we were living there and I always wanted to stay there - http://www.platzlalm.at/en/homepage/index.html

Stayed at the Trinkeralm for the first two nights of our honeymoon. Perfect in a rustic, no-English-spoken, kind of way. Katarina was the perfect host & managed to understand my schule-deutsch. Definitely want to go back.

Loved the little ski area there. Lots to ski between the pistes & lovely little alms for snacks & drinks.
