Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

St anton region??

Hey,

I've found myself in the situation of having just done eight weeks over in Canada (mostly Fernie, BC) I am now having to decide whether to go to the st anton region or back to fernie for a few weeks.

Is Europe any good in particular St anton? I've read the snow forecasts and all that jazz but I feel having been skiing some of the most amazing snow in my whole life recently I'm nervous of being severely disappointed if I take the dive in going to Europe for a bit!

Markymark29, think you could have marked your 1000th post with something better than 'do it'

HORT1, agree with Markymark29, 100%. Off there on Saturday for my 9th visit to the region (6th in St Anton).

HORT1, Its due to snow this weekend/ early next week. Its just warmed up in last few days but due to cool down again in next few days........take them, I'll be taking my Redeemers and Mantras on 23rd. The snow is the best i've seen since 99, more snow than anywhere in Europe at the moment, was there just before Xmas and end January, epic year, cant wait for our trip. I dont know what standard you are skiing at but presumably pretty advanced. theres some great back country runs, but snowpack can be quite unstable, suggest you maybe hook up with a guide, say Piste to Powder, £95 a day and join a team.....those guys know the best snow and safest routes, some mega off piste just waiting for you - be safe, and dont foget your av gear!

Nevermind a vertical of 857 metres! Toofy Grin Notwithstanding 111 trails, 5 bowls, and tree skiing! Toofy Grin

HORT1, St Anton is without a doubt one of the best ski areas in the world. For terrain and snow. Go do it, take the big skis, and enjoy the offpiste - it's pretty epic.
