Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Somewhere like Ski Monte Rosa but not

Absolutely Love Ski Monte Rosa in Italy (Champoluc, Gressoney & Alagna) and have been there for the last 3 years. Very reasonable prices, no queues during Feb half-term, fantastic easily accessible off-piste. However my wife, who skis on the pistes has now run out of pistes (well you could ski them all in a couple of days) and wants to go somewhere different next year. Any suggestions? Any European resort considered.

Saalbach/Hinterglemm is similar if what you are looking for is a sense of travel from valley to valley.

St Anton also has a number of distinct areas (and loads of off piste).

If you want a smaller resort consider La Clusaz for a reasonable balance between piste/off piste.

Andermatt has a similar unspoiled feeling and the skiing is great. From the village you can easily ride the train over the Oberalp Pass and ski Dinentis and Sedrun as well. The Oberalp Pass in beautiful and there is skiing there too. Several times we have left Alagna with our ski guide and gone to Andermatt for better ski conditions. If you're up for even more variety you could combine Andermatt and Engelberg into one trip which many serious skiers do. Any of these combinations would offer enough piste skiing for your wife and plenty of adventure for you.
