Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've done this journey but not in one go.
It's pretty easy, really. Quickest journey time is just over 5 hours, and you only have to change once (at Zurich).
You could also go the slow and more scenic route (via Brig) passing tons of great resorts (e.g. Andermatt) but that would take quite a few hours more.
To plan rail trips across the Alps, check out the SkiRail Map of the Alps http://www.rogerlascellesmaps.co.uk/SkiRail_Map_Main.aspx
Good luck!

Going via Brig adds about 2 hrs 20 mins to the time (makes it about 5 hours) but does give you a more scenic route, alternatively with even more time to waste, try Geneva-Bern-Interlaken Ost-Luzern-Zurich for another pretty route but allow about 6 hours for that

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Direct trains, airport to airport 3hrs 11 mins
One change (bern) 3hrs 15min.

Two tarins each hour

Website is www.sbb.ch

No need for a day trip round the country with multiple changes unless that is what you fancy.
